These ten films offer fascinating insights into life in various countries around the world. The locations featured include Siberia, the Himalayas, Kenya, Lake Titicaca (on the border between Peru and Bolivia), Nepal, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, Mexico, Bolivia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

We found ourselves admiring the courage and determination of these children, some of whom were very young, as they scaled imposing mountain peaks and crossed icy landscapes and scorching deserts. We also marvelled at them as they rowed for hours along perilous lakes and rivers. Some even undertook these challenges barefoot and with limited supplies of food and water.

Education is a valuable gift.

What about your children? Do they complain about school like so many children do? As a parent, do you encourage them to appreciate their educational opportunities?

Embark on an incredible learning journey with your family by watching these eye-opening documentaries. They will make you realise how many blessings and privileges we often take for granted, including education.

Watch these films and let me know which ones you liked best and why!

Of all the stories, I liked the one about the schoolchildren in Siberia best. Despite the hardships they faced, their lives seemed almost idyllic. In contrast, the plight of some Kenyan children was utterly heartbreaking. The children who captured my heart the most, though, were three adorable little girls in Mexico.

The resilience shown by these young people was incredibly inspiring.
