If I Could Live Life Over {My ABC Bucket List}

It’s not possible, and it’s a good thing it’s not. But if I could go back and live my life over again, there are so many things I would change.

I would strive to…

🪞 A – Accept myself for who I am.

🥹 B – Be more patient.

🕊️ C – Cultivate more peace.

💃🏻 D – Dance with joy more often.

😊 E – Enjoy the little things more.

🫂 F – Forgive more freely and quickly.

💝 G – Grant more grace to others and myself.

✝️ H – Have more faith each day.

📖 I – Immerse myself in God’s Word.

🧺 J – Juggle fewer things.

❤️ K – Keep my heart with all diligence.

😂 L – Laugh and smile more often.

🙌 M – Magnify the Lord with every breath.

✔️ N – Notice God’s blessings each day.

O – Obey God more quickly.

🙏 P – Pray more often.

🤫 Q – Quell arguements immediately.

⛱️ R – Relax more fully.

🫶 S – Show more kindness and caring.

💭 T – Think of all that is good, pure, and praiseworthy.

🚩 U – Uphold the truth with courage.

🏆 V – Validate others more readily.

⚒️ W – Work more wholeheartedly.

➡️ X – eXit the life of fear.

❣️ Y – Yearn for God’s presence every moment.

📷 Z – Zoom in on Christ each and every minute.

I’ve often wished I could go back and relive my life. Mostly for the chance to fix all my mistakes and ommissions. But that is not ours to do. We can only try to do our best with the days we have left.

If I could go back, I would live each day as if it were my last; (which it very well could be). But most of all I would love more fully. Both God and others, and show it more openly.

What about you? What would you change, and what would you keep the same?

I would change one thing. I would love more. If I would do that, all others would fall into place.

There’s no time like the present. :) There are things I have wished I could change, but I also ask God to use my life as evidence…that people can see the changes He is making in me. That is a beautiful legacy too. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for these wise words, Linda. Yes, yes, yes! May our changed (and changing) life be a testimony of what can do! You’re right, that is a beautiful legacy!!

I feel the same, Sheila. There is much in my life I would like to go back in time and change. But all that is within my control now is to repent and move forward. You’ve given me a wonderful list of goals for my remaining days. I wonder if my helter-skelter brain could handle one item per day from your wise bucket list?! Over time, they just might become habit!

I like your idea of taking one item and turning it into a daily challenge. I accept the challenge! May the Lord help us to get ever closer to him and become more like him in our remaining days!

AMAZING LIST! So thoroughly thought through, and so incredibly spot on. These are things I could use constantly–even at my age!

Oh yes, even at our age, Dayle. We never outgrow the need to grow and improve. And thankfully the Lord has granted us the opportunity to improve even in our final years!

Thanks Michael. We can’t apply this kind of bucket list to our past. But we can make it a daily challenge for today and all our tomorrorws!!
