I’m Finally Back!

I’m back and I’ve missed you all. So, welcome back to my blog! I’ve been on sick leave from here because of the major surgery I underwent. I’m still struggling to write, not only because it’s difficult to get back into the habit, but also because it’s still physically challenging. None of my chair and table combinations work well for me as I still experience a lot of physical discomfort and ongoing back issues. Such are the consequences of older age and health issues!

Anyway, I’m pleased to report that my surgery went well and the doctor is pleased with my recovery progress. He said it would take about a year for complete recovery, and at least 6 months before I’ll really start feeling more normal.

Thanks to everyone who prayed for me during this trying time. I’m looking forward to connecting with you all again. I hope to manage at least one post a week, in between catching up on the posts of my fellow bloggers that I missed during my absence, of course!

God is so good! I’m so thankful that He is always with us, whatever we may be going through. I’m also grateful to all of you for being with me!

  1. Sheila! How wonderful to see your name in my inbox! Praise God you’ve received a good prognosis for healing from your doctor. I too have to take care of my back or it will misbehave. (Surgery in 1996 helped a great deal.) Back cushions have been a godsend, offering lower lumbar support to make sitting much more comfortable. I also use a little footstool to relieve pressure on the lower back. Perhaps one or the other or both will help you too. ‘Looking forward to being back in touch, my friend!

    1. Thank you so much, Nancy! It is wonderful how many supports and aids are available these days. Even little things can make a big difference.
