I’m back and I’ve missed you all, so welcome back to my blog! I’ve been on sick leave from here because of the major surgery I underwent. I’m still struggling to write, not only because it’s hard to get back into the habit of writing. But because it’s hard for me physically as I can’t keep my laptop on my lap for long. None of my chair and table combinations work well for me because I still have a lot of physical discomfort and back issues that have never totally disappeared. Alas, such are the consequences of older age and health issues!

But it’s OK. I’ve decided to revamp my blog and take a new direction. From now at least, it will mostly be a journal, where I share personal updates, short reflections, stuff about Italy, images, and uplifting quotes. If that’s not your thing, it’s OK – you don’t have to follow along. Although I do hope you’ll join me!

Anyway, today I’m pleased to report that my surgery went well and the doctor is pleased with my recovery progress. He said it would take at least 3 months for things to really heal internally. And I know from experience, that for any major surgery it takes 6 months or more before I’ll really start feeling more back to normal.

Thanks to everyone who prayed for me during this trying time. I’m looking forward to connecting again. I hope I’ll manage at least a weekly post….in between catching up on fellow bloggers’ posts that I missed during my absence, of course!

God is so good. I’m so thankful that He is always with us, no matter what we may be going through! And I thank all of you for being with me too!
