Rustic still life with brown eggs, cracked shells, a wooden egg cup, herbs, and bread on a table, creating a warm, cozy farmhouse scene.

The Roman Empire played an important role in world history, especially in New Testament times. God used it to prepare the world for the birth of the Messiah and to facilitate the spread of the Gospel. Because of its significant role in the time of Christ, it can be very instructive to learn what daily life was like at that time.

Knowledge of biblical times can lead to a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. So I hope you’ll enjoy this video from Absolute History. And that it will give you some useful insights. Enjoy watching!

  1. The Romans were quite adept at cooking styles! The bread looks fascinating–but I couldn’t even imagine eating the kidneys! But what a wonderful eye-opening experience.

    1. Yes, they were quite good with cooking, Dayle! I love how these videos take us back to live some of their experiences. We can learn so much!
